Recover ETH stuck in old smart contracts
The DAO launched in April 2016 as the largest crowdfund in history, raising 11.5 million ETH from over 20,000 investors. In June 2016, a reentrancy exploit drained 3.6M ETH, leading to the contentious Ethereum hard fork that split ETH and ETC. After the fork restored the funds, a WithdrawDAO wrapper contract was deployed, allowing any DAO token holder to burn their tokens 1:1 for ETH. Over 81,000 ETH remains unclaimed in the wrapper to this day.
